The Air Garden Terrain Park is
where the Old West meets the New School. Skiers and riders alike continue
to push the sport into new heights, both literally and figuratively.
Groomed by the Pipe Dragon, the Air Garden
Terrain Park is the largest park in the Southwest, offering over 30 acres
of terrain. Here you'll find berms, banks, jumps, and tabletops, as well
as a 12-foot competition-size halfpipe. Telluride also utilizes the
concept of a "Rail Garden," adding a touch of California flavor
to the park. The sliding rails, popular in California snow and skateboard
parks but not widely seen at Colorado resorts, create an exciting and
fresh addition to the Air Garden.
Plus, launching pads are spread throughout, making Telluride an air hog's
paradise. If you're ready to ride, this is the place.
Riders from around the world have realized this firsthand. In fact,
Telluride was the site of the '98 and '99 USASA National Snowboard
Championships and the '99 ISF Junior World Snowboard Championships.
The
